Diaspora bonds are 100% guaranteed by the Republic of Kosovo and aims directing funds into productive diaspora funding to enable economic development. All private individuals, residents and non-residents, have the right to invest.
The amount to be offered for sale is EUR 20 million, with an interest rate of 1.20% and 2.20% net (exempt from tax) for 3 years and 5 years maturity respectively. The investment period is from July 21, 2021 – August 18, 2021, and has a repayment / transaction date of August 20, 2021. The minimum purchase amount per person is 10,000 EUR and the maximum is 500,000 EUR. You will be able to buy Diaspora Bonds through BKT Kosova. BKT ensures that the bank at its best will buy back the securities at market prices, in case customers want to sell before maturity.
T-bills are short-term financial instruments with maturities of 3, 6 and 12 months. The interest earned on this instrument is calculated as the difference between the face value and the purchase price of the coupon.
Treasury bonds (T-bonds) are medium and long-term financial instruments with a maturity of over 1 year. Interest earned in the form of a coupon is paid every 6 months for the duration of the instrument.
If you have treasury bills and treasury bonds, both the principal and interest payments are guaranteed if they are held to maturity.
